The water vapour trapped in the atmosphere is responsible for the warming effects of the earth, without that we would all freeze to death in no time at all.

The time factor is another important aspect. Humans have been here for less than a quarter million years, and we know of the effects form the last natural disaster that wipes out all forms of lie on Eat, including the dinosaurs. Therefore we do not have a time scale to know when and were our own existence will end on this planet. The duration of the survivability of the human species remains a mystery.
